Ekiti State Police Command nabs two Ex-convicts for stealing Church property
Ekiti State Police Command has arrested two ex-convicts Dare Agbadaola and Ameye Ayo for burglary.
The suspects were arrested by the men of Ilawe Police Divisional Headquarters.
In a statement by the Ekiti State Police command public Relations officer, Mr Sunday Abutu explained that the ex-convicts broke into residential apartments, place of worship as well as shops and carted away household items and church properties.
Mr Abutu noted that the suspects during interrogation, confessed to the commission of the crime and led the Police operatives to the place where those stolen items were kept.
He said Items recovered from the suspects included were unregistered TVS motorcycle, One Suzuki motorcycle, One Freezer, a roll of rug, three single Upholstery Chairs, four double Upholstery Chairs, One pulpit belonging to Redeemed Christian Church of God One Church curtain, three plastic drums, One stabilizer, four wall clocks, two Generators, Four big Church Amplifiers, three big Church speakers, one wall fan, half roll of wire, one DStv decoder, one StarTime Decoder, two DVD players, two bundles of iron sheet, One big foam, One wardrobe, One wooden table, two glass shelves, plates, cups, head pans and four bags of cement.
He said the suspects would be arraigned accordingly while effort is ongoing to recover other stolen items.
