Oke Afin Omuoke Ekiti Celebrates Annual Festival In Grand Style

This year’s Oke Afin Omuoke Ekiti annual festival was celebrated with fun Fair witnessing people from all works of life within and outside the country.
Sons, Daughters and Residents of the community who were seen in their beautiful attires danced to different traditional songs to appreciate God for given them grace to witness the celebration which brings them together every year.
Speaking at the celebration at Oke Afin Omuoke Ekiti, some royal fathers who attended the ceremony advised residents, sons and daughters of the community not to relent in their contributions towards development of the community.
Two of the royal fathers , the Asaya of Isaya Ekiti, Oba Mathew Ajayi and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti in Ikole Local Government, Oba David Babtunde Ogunsakin said such contributions would boost the socio economic development of the community and create sustenable empowerment for youths.
The royal fathers explained that sons and daughters of Oke Afin in Omuooke Ekiti should use their connections to facilitate industries that would create employment for the youths of the community.
In their remarks, the leader of Oke Afin decendants in Omuooke Ekiti, Chief James Fasogbon, the Olofin of Oke-Afin and a former Commissioner for land in Ekiti state, Prince Taelolu Otitoju commended the indigenes of Oke Afin in Omuooke Ekiti and charged them to be good ambassador of the community.
Chief Fasogbon and prince Otitoju appreciated those who graced the annual celebration and prayed God to preserve their lives for many more celebrations.
