The Gender Relevance Initiative Promotion (GRIP) in Collaboration with CLEEN Foundation on Wednesday donated some Personal Protective Equipments PPE to the Ekiti State Police Command.

The development is to ensure the safety of security agents in the discharge of their duties amidst the covid-19 pandemic as confirmed by the leadership of GRIP and Cleen Foundation in a statement made available to newsmen after the presentation.

The statement reads ” It is no longer news that the novel Covid-19 pandemic also increased crime rate, especially gender based violence, putting enomoues pressure on the police in responding to crime and criminality.

“It is important that the health of police officers is protected while policing during the pandemic.

“To this end, today 6/10/20, GRIP in collaboration with CLEEN Foundation donated customised police facemasks, sanitizers and COVID-19- Police Guildlines to the Ekiti State Police Command for effective Covid-19 pandemic policing.

According to the statement, the items were recieved by
CP Tunde Mobayo in company of CSP Femi Falade OC Legal and ASP Abutu Sunday PPRO of the command.

The Command was full of appreciation to GRIP and CLEEN Foundation for the generous donation.
