Independence: Ekiti Youths Walk Against Crime

In commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence, some youths led by members of the Ekiti State Youth Parliament embarked on a walk against crime.

The train of the walk which took off from Okeyimi in Ado Ekiti, moved through Ojumose, Okesa and was rounded off at Fajuyi park in Ado Ekiti.

Speaking during the rally, the Speaker, Ekiti State Youth Parliament, Right Hon Toba Fatunla said the walk was to showcase to the world that Ekiti Youths has zero tolerance for crime.

According to him, Ekiti youths are known for hard work, honesty, education and excellence.

He noted that the walk was to also educate parents on the need to give improved attention to the upbringing of their children towards making them good ambassadors.

Also speaking, the Vice Chairman, Ado Local government, Mr Yomi Oso and a member of the EKSDA Board, Mr Eyitayo Fabunmi commended the parliament for the walk urging youths to be law abiding and desist form desperation for quick wealth.
