VARDY HELPS LEICESTER THRASH MANCHESTER CITY 2-5 TO GO TOP OF THE TABLE

Jamie Vardy scored a hat trick as Leicester city thrash Mancity on home soil.

The Foxes scored three penalties in a remarkable victory with Vardy taking two efforts from the spot.

Riyad Mahrez put the home side ahead after four minutes.

While James Maddison scored a stunner for Leicester after emerging from the bench, while Youri Tielemans converted the third penalty in the closing stages of the contest to make it 5 goals for the away team

Nathan Ake got off the mark for City with a late header but was not enough to change the game.

Leicester city is now top of the table with 9 points ahead of Everton with a goal difference.

Liverpool will tomorrow take on Arsenal, while fulham will slug it out with Aston Villa.
