Empowerment:Senator Olujimi At It Again, Shocks Constituents

Hundreds of members of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and other persons in Ekiti State have  benefited  from another phase of the empowerment programme of the lawmaker representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Biodun Olujimi.

Roundoffnews gathered that the beneficiaries were given  valuables such as, Motorcycles, Refrigerators, sewing machines, grinding machines, Solar inverter and even  tractors worth over 10million naira which was donated to a cooperative societies to enhance farming activities of their members.

At the programme which took place in Omuo Ekiti, beneficiaries could not hide their feelings as they went into jubilation the moment their items were handed over to them.

Some party leaders on the occasion including the immediate party Chairman, Chief Gboyega Oguntuase, Hon. Yemi Arokodare, expressed shock over the magnitude of facilities donated to beneficiaries describing the gesture as incredible and unprecedented in the history of Ekiti.

Speaking at the programme, the factional chairman of the party in Ekiti State, Mr kehinde Odebunmi commended Senator Olujimi for given back to the people as promised during electioneering.

Distributing the materials to beneficiaries, the donour, Senator Biodun  Olujimi said the gesture was to cushion the consequential effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

She warned the beneficiaries  not to sell the materials but endeavour to use them to cater for their needs and immediate family.

Senator Olujimi called on Federal Government to provide necessary parlaitive to entrepreneurs of small and medium scale businesses to cushion the effect of the pandemic on their companies.

Speaking on the fuel increase the lawmaker explained that the timing was wrong and undesirable urging government to always consider the interest of masses before taking decisions.

On party issues, Senator Olujimi explained that her group had enforced Governor Seyi Makinde as the leader of PDP in southwest adding that Fayose is one of the many leaders of the zone.
