EKITI NSCDC ASSURES RESIDENTS ON ADEQUATE SECURITY COVERAGE DURING EID-KABIR

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti Command Mr. Solomon Iyamu fsi has restated the command’s readiness to deploy high level security apparatus to all nooks and crannies in Ekiti State especially before, during and after the Eid Kabir celebration.

Mr. Iyamu who congratulated all Muslims in the state urged them to use this celebration to pray to Almighty Allah to assist in the fight against the novel Covid-19 so that our economy can pick up again.

The State Commandant also urged Muslims to celebrate within the ambit of Covid-19 protocols as the virus can spread quickly if all necessary precautions are not strictly adhere to.

The deployment of officers and men according to the Commandant will cover all religious places, black spots, critical nationals assets and infrastructure sites across the state, motor parks and other strategic locations. He explained that all the mentioned places needed attentions as trouble often emanated from there and security patrolling surveillance can assist to halt any security breach from these places.

The 16LGAs were not left out in his security plans as all the Divisional Officers had been directed to replicate the Deployment Order in their Divisions and Outpost stations in the State.

Mr Iyamu, congratulated Muslims in the State for witnessing year 2020 Eid- Kabir celebration and urged them to be law abiding especially during this period and assured them that with their prayers, things will take shape once again.

Finally he extended his greetings to the Commandant General of NSCDC Sir, ABDULLAHI GANA MUHAMMADU and prayed for more wisdom for him to bring the Corps to a lofty enviable heights especially in his quest to make the Corps a better service provider for the country.
