The State leadership of the Organized Labour has empathize with the governor of Ekiti State Dr. Kayode Fayemi having tested positive to COVID-19.

In a letter sent to the governor, the Organized Labour which comprises the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), and Joint Public Service Negotiating Council (JPSNC) wished the governor speedily recovery from the current health status.

According to them, the Labour leaders hoped that Fayemi would son bounce back so that he would continue to serve humanity in general as well as the good people of Ekiti.

The letter reads “As a result of this development, everybody should come to term that Corona virus is real.

"Whereas, it is very important that we should all observe necessary health precautions such as: wearing of face mask, constant hand washing, social and physical distancing and alcoholic sanitizers at every occasion because COVID-19 is real.

"Again, the leadership of the Organized Labour strongly believes that since His Excellency is now in self isolation as part of protocol to be observed towards the treatment of the current Health status, His Excellency will be back in good health in Jesus Name.

“Your Excellency, please accept the good wishes and warmest regards from the Leadership of the Organized Labour (i.e. NLC, TUC and JPSNC).
