A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Ekiti State, Dr. Tope Aluko has expressed shock over the demise of the Saribi of Iyin Ekiti Chief George Adefemi Ojo.

Chief Ojo died on Saturday at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti at the age of 62.

He was a fomer chairman, Ekiti State local Government Service Commission and Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission.

Chief George Ojo was also until late last month, a politically appointed member of the recently dissolved 10th Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti.

In a statement in Iyin Ekiti, Chief Aluko who is the Ejemu elect of Iyin Ekiti described the late Ojo as diligent and astute community leader who contributed immensely to the growth of Iyin Ekiti and the state at large.

According to Chief Aluko, Chief Ojo’s death is a great blow to the community and the state.

Chief Aluko said” Chief Ojo was always strong and fit, I never expected that we would lose him at this prime time that his services and experiences were needed particularly in Iyin Ekiti.

” I am highly depressed and demoralize when the news came to me, but who are we to question God.

“Chief Ojo lived a fulfilled life and this is my consolation.

He prayed God to grant his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
