The Chairman Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency Mr Olufemi Olarewaju also known as Ijakoko has  mocked a former governor of the State Engineer Segun Oni over his failed attempt to secure the PDP membership card at his ward in Ifaki Ekiti .

Chief Segun Oni had recently defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress APC to the People’s Democratic Party PDP which is currently battling with supremacy battle between former Governor Ayodele Fayose and Senator Biodun Olujimi.

Report says, Chief Segun Oni had invited executive members of the two factions of PDP in Ifaki ward two where he sought for the presentation of membership card to him.

However, the inability of the two factions to reach a compromise  thwarted the process and Chief Segun Oni was unable to get the membership card.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Olarewaju  explained that the drama which occurred showed that Segun Oni was not welcomed in PDP and that he is no longer popular.

He wondered how Chief Segun Oni who could not secure an ordinary membership card at the ward level would get a party ticket to contest for the governorship election.

“I have said it times without number that Segun Oni is no longer relevant in Ekiti Politics , he is only struggling.

“His exit from the APC is a blessing to our party, we have no regret that he left in fact APC will be better without Oni he said.

Olarewaju who also hails from Ifaki Ekiti noted that Segun Oni had no impact while he was with APC hence his exit created no vacuum that could be felt.

He lauded Governor Kayode Fayemi for his various developmental projects which had impacted positively in the lives on common men.
