MAY DAY: EKITI CIVIL SERVICE UNION FELICITATES WITH WORKERS, SEEKS PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING ARREARS.

The State leadership of the Nigeria Civil Service Union, Ekiti State Council has congratulated the entire members of the Union and workers by extension for the grace to witness this year’s Workers Day Celebration.

This is contained in a statement signed by the chairman of the union,
Com. Johnson Olaiya Oladipupo and the secretary Com. Gbenga Olowoyo.

The Union appreciates God Almighty for his protection upon the workers despite marking this year’s workers day amidst the life threatening Coronavirus Pandemic ravaging the world.

According to the statement, this year’s 2020 workers’ Day with the Theme: “COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND ITS SOCIO ECONOMIC IMPACT ON THE NIGERIAN WORKING CLASS” is very apt and appropriate as it will put the entire working class on a radar of putting in their best and ensure creative thought that can bring the country out from economic doldrums.

“The State leadership of the Nigeria Civil Service Union commends our amiable Governor Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for the prompt payment of Workers Gross Salary as and when due which is a right step in a right direction.

“However, the leadership of the Union passionately appealed to Ekiti State government to spare a serious thought on the urgent need to implement the outstanding financial benefits on workers promotions in the State as a gift for the 2020 Workers Days celebration which will serve as an everlasting palliatives and it will endear the Fayemi Government into the heart of entire workers of Ekiti State.

The statement admonishes workers to redouble their efforts as soon as they resume into normal life after Covid- 19 pandemic might have been fought to a standstill.
