COVID-19:EKITI GOVERNMENT WARNS PRIVATE HOSPITALS AGAINST ATTRMPT TO TREAT SUSPECTED CASES .

Five persons have been placed under monitoring in Ekiti state over COVID 19.

The Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Mojisola Yahaya Kolade stated this at a press briefing in Ado Ekiti.

Dr. Yahaya- Kolade who maintained that the state government had put measures in place to prevent another outbreak of the virus, said about one hundred and twenty beds would be put in place at the Isolation Centre.

She said about nine ventilators were currently available in isolation centre to cater for suspected patients and advised people to always feel free to call whenever they suspect anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

Also, the Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Mr. Muyiwa Olumilua appealed to people of the state to adhere strictly with the restriction order and other measures pit in place by government to check the spread of coronavirus

Mr Olumilua however, said that more people would be captured in the third tranche of the palliative and conditional cash transfer to ameliorate the effect of covid 19 on the people of the state.

In his submission, the Commissioner for Environment, Mr Gbenga Agbeyo listed some of the public places fumigated to prevent the spread of the virus to include, tertiary institutions, Public Schools, government offices among others.

He called on the Residents of the state to always observe all the precautionary measures and warned that Government would not tolerate any person or hospital that try to treat the COVID 19 privately.
