The People’s Democratic Party in Ekiti state has called on the state government to review the content of the food items distributing to people as palliative.
The chairman of PDP in the state, Chief Gboyega Oguntuase stated this in Ado Ekiti while distributing the two hundreds of fifty packs given to the party by the state government to members.
Chief Oguntuase said that the content in the packs could not feed a family for three days let alone the fourteen days period for the lockdown
“How can you keep people indoor for four weeks and given them two sphagetti, two congos of rice, one kilograms of semovita and wheat?
Chief Oguntuase expressed disappointed over the palliatives given to people of the state, saying such could not cushion the effect of the lockdown on the residents.
” We are going to distribute the food items among the executives of our party both at the state and local governments as well as former governor Ayodele Fayose and senator Biodun Olujimi’s groups”
He lamented that the food items could not go round the sixteen local governments of the state talkless of one hundred and seventy seven wards.
Chief Oguntuase described the palliative as Christmas gifts, saying it was not a relief materials.
