LOCKDOWN/EASTER: EKITI PDP WOMEN LEADER REACHES OUT TO VULNERABLE PERSONS

The PDP women leader in Ekiti state Mrs Yemisi Afolabi has put smiles on the faces of some residents in Adebayo area of Ado Ekiti

Mrs Afolabi who distributed food items such as beverages, rice, beans and cash said the move was part of her personal contributions to cushion the effect of hardship brought to them by the lockdown ordered by government to check the spread of covid-19.

She also said that the gifts would also serve as easter gift to the people.

She noted that Easter celebration signifies sacrifice and love as demonstrated by Jesus Christ hence the need to help the needy.

The PDP women leader advised the beneficiaries to adhere strictly with government’s directive to prevent the spread of coronavirus by ensuring regular hand washing and social distancing.

Mrs Afolabi also called for the cooperation and support of health workers to end Coronavirus Pandemic.

In an interview, some of the beneficiaries appreciated Mrs Afolabi for the gesture, saying it would sustain them for some days and called on other leaders of the party to emulate the women leader.
