COVID-19:EKITI PHARMACISTS DONATE SANITIZERS WORTH MILLIONS OF NAIRA TO GOVT
The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Ekiti state chapter has donated hand sanitizers and alcohol spray worth millions of naira to the state government to support the fight against covid-19.
Taking delivery of the products, the General Manager, Ekiti state Emergency Management Agency SEMA, Mr Babajide Borode appreciated the society for the gesture noting that the sanitizers and the alcohol spray would be distributed to less privilege and Heath officials so as to justify the purpose for which it was donated.
Mr Borode noted that the product would go along way at protecting residents of the state from contracting and spreading of the deadly coronavirus.
He called on other well meaning Nigerians to also take a cue from the pharmacists and complement government’s efforts in the fight against coronavirus.
Earlier, chairman of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Ekiti state chapter, Mr Olusola Ojo said that the product were of good quality and produced by the society.
Mr Ojo called on residents of Ekiti state to stop patronising sellers of fake sanitizers, noting that it was dangerous to their health.
