Some members of the public who failed to comply with the stay at home directive of the Ekiti state government were today arrested and dealt with by security operatives.

Fayemi had earlier declared a two weeks curfew and stay at home as part of measures to check the spread of coronavirus otherwise known as covid-19 with a vow to prosecute offenders.

The offenders were seen and arrested in market places, beer joints, while some were arrested while driving across the street when they were not an essential staff.

Roundoffnews gathered that some of the offenders were flogged and made to serve punishment while some had their vehicle and motorcycles impounded.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ekiti State Sunday Abutu said he could not confirm the total number of arrest at the moment with a promise to get back.
