TWO STUDENTS DIE AS LASSA FEVER HITS ADEKUNLE AJASIN UNIVERSITY.

Authorities of the Adekunle Ajasin University Akubgba Akoko has declared an emergency two weeks break following the untimely Death of two students of the institution from Lassa fever.

In a statement made available by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olugbenga Ige the first semester examinations has been postponed and the students are being advised to vacate the university premises immediately.

This closure is unconnected to the sudden outbreak of lassa fever which claimed the life of Miss Temitope patience Ayedun a 200 level students of Educational management, and Mr. Olakunle Mathews

The Management first received the disturbing news of Mr. Olakunle Mathews after efforts to save his life at the school Health center proved abortive.

While the university community was still trying to douse the tension, Miss Temitope was reportedly rushed to the health centre for treatment but efforts to get her treated proved abortive as she gave up the ghost when efforts were being made to transfer her to Federal medical centre owo when it was clear the school clinic could not manage her ailment.
