Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC and National Youth Service Corps NYSC on Friday led about one thousand corps members on a walk against corruption in Ado Ekiti.

The train of the walk which took off at the Fajuyi Pavilion had stop over in several places within the city where the EFCC and NYSC officials sensitized members of the public of the danger of corruption to the growth of the society.

The corps members who rolled out drums also chanted KILL CORRUPTION, SAY NO TO CORRUPTION among others.

Speaking during the exercise, the Sectional Head of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ibadan Office, Mrs Juliet Odogu called on Nigerian youths not to engage in corrupt practices such as cybercrime, ritual, forgery of certificates and stealing.

Mrs Odogu said the walk was to create awareness on the danger of corruption in the society and capture one million youths .

She noted that it was imperative to instill the habit of discipline and integrity in youths so that when they become leaders in future they would uphold such tenet.

Also, the Ekiti state coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Emmanuella Okpongete represented by Mrs Hellen Fagbemi appealed to those involving in unwholesome activities to desist from such.

Mrs Okpongete affirmed that president Muhammadu Buhari was passionate and determined to get rid of corruption in the country, noting that every Nigerian must key into the vision.
