EKITI NDLEA CLEARS AIR OVER FIRE OUTBREAK

By Roundoffnews

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA Ekiti state command has confirmed that the recent fire outbreak in its office did not affect the main exhibit room as speculated in some reports in the media.

The command also stated that none of its staff nor the suspects in the cell were injured by the fire.

There has been a wide report in the media that the office of the command was razed by fire.

However, in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, the Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Peter Njoku explained that the fire only affected the makeshift exhibit store built behind the office main building.

He noted that the bulk of the exhibits were salvaged through the help of neighbours and officers of the Ekiti State Fire Service.

Njoku added that investigation is ongoing towards identifying what led to the fire outbreak.
