Primary and secondary schools in Ekiti state are expected to resume for the 2019/2020 second term academic session on Monday the 6th of January 2020.

The schools had on last December embark on three weeks break.

Roundoffnews correspondent who went to some major parks in Ado Ekiti, the state capital report that some students who travelled out of the state were seen returning while those who came to the state were also going back to their places in preparation for the resumption.

In an interview, the chairman of the Nigeria union of Teachers NUT, in Ekiti state, Mr Samuel Olugbesan appealed to teachers to double their efforts this term and called on students to be serious with their study.

Also, the chairman of the Association of Secondary School Teachers in Ekiti, Mr Sola Adigun called on government to give priority to the welfare of teachers and create friendly environment to aid teaching and learning.
