EKITI LAWMAKER OFFERS FREE ICT TRAINING TO SCIENCE STUDENTS
The Majority Leader of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Gboyega Aribisogan has facilitated and will be sponsoring a two day training in Information Communication Technology (ICT) for all the SSS 3 Science Students of Ijesa Isu Comprehensive High School, Ikole Local government area of Ekiti State.
The event which is being organised by Oluomo Citizens Development Foundation with technical support from African Voice International Training and Development Academy and Ekiti State Ministry of Education Science and Technology will start on Friday December 2019 at Ijesa Isu Comprehensive High School ICT Centre.
In a statement issued and signed by Aribisogan, the training is to help the participating students of the school who may be interested in choosing a career in Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Computer Science.
According to him, the two-day programme will expose the students to the importance of ICT in global Educational Development. It will also deepen the student’s knowledge on the basic principles and the usage of ICT in corporate and global business.
Aribisogan further stated that the programme is part of his constituency outreach and will be replicated in all the Secondary schools in Ikole Constituency 1.
According to him, ICT has become a veritable tool in global educational development and every student in our society must have the knowledge for their future career.
