It was carnival like event, as people of Idoma ethnic group living in Ekiti led by their leader Otache Oyigocho converged on ikoro to celebrate this year’s annual conference of the group.

The annual conference named Ikoro 2019 was graced by some prominent personalities within and outside Ekiti state.

The people who could not hide their joy, danced to various cultural songs rendered to appreciate God for sparing their lives to witness the annual programme.

Speaking on the significance of the celebration, Ochidoma, Agaba Idu of Ekiti state, Otache Oyigocho enjoyed Idoma people living in the state to obey the tradition and culture of their host communities and appealed to the state government to recognise them better.

Otache oyigocho noted that Idoma people would not relent in their efforts at contributing to the the socio economic growth of Ekiti state

In his speech, chairman of Ekiti state Hospital Management Board, Dr Bayo Orire who double as the chairman on the occasion described Idoma people as hardworking and urged them to continue to to sustain the good traits.

In a remark, the chairman of Idoma people living in ikoro Ekiti, Mr Godwin Abah appreciated God for the success recorded during the programme and promised that Idoma people would continue to be peaceful in the town.

Earlier, the Ochidoma, Agaba Idu of Ekiti State, Otache oyigocho had paid a visit to Olukoro of Ikoro Ekiti, oba Adebanji Adeleye where the monarch commended Idoma for being faithful in their dealings.
