DRIVERS’ BLOODY CLASH: EKITI POLICE ARRESTS THREE IN ADO EKITI.

Three persons have been arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command in connection with the bloody clash by members of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria.

The drivers who were supporters of the two factions in the association took to the streets of Ado Ekiti this morning with dangerous weapons and disturbed the peace of the state capital.

The hoodlums suspected to be Aderiye Adebayo A.K.A OJUIGO thugs, Barricaded the Roads at Oke-Iyimi, Old garage, Post office, Ijigbo area of in Ado-Ekiti and made bonfire.

On sighting the police, the hoodlums were said to be from gun shot sporadically and shouting “we are for OJUIGO,Police no road for you”.

Addressing Journalists in Ado Ekiti, the Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Caleb Ikechukwu said the suspects were arrested with two cutlass and 5 empty shell of expended cartridges, one battle axe.

He said the three suspects would be charged to court after due investigation.
