The eighty re-engaged staff the Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission have been charged to justify their reinstatement into the legislative service by showing commitment to their duties.
The Chairman of the Commission, Rt Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun gave the charge while addressing the re-engaged staff at the opening ceremony of a week induction training organised to Integrate the officers into the legislative Service in Ado Ekiti.
Rt Hon Olatubosun remarked that the Assembly Commission was committed to the training and retraining of its workforce towards having a service that would be a pride to the legislative service in the country.
The Commission’s Chairman stressed that promotions of staff will also be accorded priority but based on merit.
He said that the induction was organized to familiarize the staff with the nitty-gritty of the legislative service and enjoined them to make adequate use of the expected knowledge acquired during the induction training in their various duty posts.
It would be recalled that the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi recently approved the reinstatement of the staff disengaged by the immediate past government of Mr Ayodele Fayose in December, 2014.
