Community Development: Ikigbinsin-Ekiti Community Inaugurates New Executives
The Ikigbinsin-Ekiti Community Landlord/Landlady Association, Ado-Ekiti on Saturday inaugurated a 9-man elected Executives to steer the development of the community for two years tenure.
This is coming just as the elected Chairman, Lawson Alao called for cooperation from all residents for the progress of the community.
Alao made the call in his acceptance speech during the inauguration of the new executives.
The inauguration took place at Ikigbinsin/ Olorunda High School, Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.
“Now that the election is over, let all the residents of the community come together as one family and work for the welfare as well as progress of our community.
“We do not have any where to go for now rather than to stay at Ikigbinsin-Ekiti and makes it work,” the chairman said.
He however called on other members of the executives to see this new assignment as a call to service.
He said,”I want to congratulate other elected officers and urge them to see their election as a call to service, that is not money making venture.”
The new chairman highlighted areas that would be given priority to included: enhancement of good governance towards improving the security of the community through collaborative efforts.
Others were, above all to see that all community members live in peace, harmony and unity, to facilitate the establishment of health centre, police post and market place among others.
Roundoffnews reported that members of the executives were, Vice Chairman, Mr Oluwasanmi, dAdedaraGeneral Secretary, Mr Mayowa Akomolafe, Treasurer, Mr Emmanuel Famuwafun and Mr Olumide Adedara and Financial Secretary.
The rest are, Public Relations Officer, (PRO), Mr Damilare Adetunji, Assistant General Secretary, Mr Samuel Oluyemi, Welfare Director, Mrs Bukola Omowaye and Auditor, Mr Adebola Asiru.
