Workers in Ekiti Sate have been charged to be more diligent at work to enhance higher productivity.
Chairman, Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission TESCOM Hon. Babatunde Abegunde gave the charge during the weekly meeting where the best worker of the month, Mrs. Odumuyiwa Grace was presented with a cash gift of N5,000 and a commendation letter held in Ado Ekiti.
Hon. Abegunde explained that the primary objective of the award was to motivate members of staff for higher productivity adding that diligence must be rewarded.
He listed the criteria for the selection of the winner to include punctuality, integrity, good dress sense, good relationship, diligence, effectiveness, and creativity.
According to him, a Committee set up for the selection of the best staff operated secretly to get the winner.
He therefore advised the workers to have good attitude to work at all times and reciprocate government kind gesture of regular salary payment.
Responding, Mrs. Odumuyiwa Grace a clerical officer at the Registry department who emerged as the winner of the award forward July, expressed joy and lauded the Tescom Chairman for such brilliant and first ever initiative in motivating workers at work place.
She pledged her continued diligence at work and unalloyed loyalty to Governor Fayemi’s administration.
