Pandemonium broke out today in Ado Ekiti as students of the Ekiti State University EKSU revolted against the police and EFCC.

The action of the students was against the incessant arrest detention and extortion of their colleagues by the security agents for allegation of cyber crime.

The students who had barricaded the route in front of their institution claimed that the security agents now go as far as picking up innocent students in their hostels at night.

“We can no longer sleep or move around freely for fear of being arrested, everybody is now a Yahoo boy one of the students said”.

The students said they are ready to confront any officer who invade their campus for unlawful arrest calling on government to call them to order.

There has been serious rade on students of the institution in recent time by police and EFCC for alleged cyber crime.

The protest lasted for several hours before the students were forcefully dispersed by security agents as traders and commuters scampered for safety.

Some of the students sustained series of injuries in the process while some of them were arrested.

The protest left many motorists and commuters stranded while staff of the University were prevented from gaining entry.
