Suleiman and Governor Bello

As the Kogi State governorship election gathers momentum on daily basis, some natives of the state residing in Ekiti, including Ebira, Igala and Okun unpder the platform of Kogi Youths in Ekiti have declared total support for the second term ambition of the sitting governor Yahaya Bello.

The group in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti and signed by its president Nasir Suleiman noted that the one good term of Yahaya Bello deserves another.

Mr Suleiman explained that the sitting governor had shown exemplary leadership in his outgoing first term in office particularly in the areas of managing the ethnic diversity of the state, construction of roads abandoned for decades, Qualitative Healthy care system, youth and women empowerment to mention but a few.

According to him, the group was planning to hold a massive rally to openly show it’s commitment to the second term project of the governor.

“Kogi has often battled with ethnic diversity which was rode upon my past leaders to achieve their selfish interests but Yahaya Bello has brought all tribes together through equitable distribution of available resources, he stands to be different, what matters to him is Kogi first before any ethnic group he said”

Suleiman noted that the governor had touched all local governments of the state adding that there were empirical evidences to show for it, particularly the road that links all the three senatorial districts to together as well as the establishment of the largest rice mill in the North Zone known as Omi rice factory sited in Kogi west which had created jobs for teaming youths and enhance local production of rice for food production and economic development.

He also added that the renovation of schools and provision of pipe borne water was another project that were unequal to his predisessors.

Suleiman noted that the projects of Yahaya Bello were too numerous to mention hence the group was determined to canvass support for the governor at the appropriate time.

He noted that some of the contestants against the governor were not sincere but only coming to government to steal the meagre resources which the governor had utilized prudently over the years.

The Kogi president in Ekiti however called on all other natives of the state in diaspora to support Yahaya Bello in the interest of peace and development of Kogi state.
