FERMA Moves To Rehabilitate Federal Roads In Ekiti

The Managing Director, Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Mr. Nurudeen Rafindadi and the South West Management Team of the Agency have visited all Federal roads in Ekiti State with a view to fix the bad portions.

This is in line with the objectives of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to ensure smooth transportation system.

At a meeting with Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi in Ado-Ekiti, Mr. Rafindadi explained that the visit was to know the state of the roads across the South West, especially Ekiti state.

He observed that despite the paucity of fund FERMA would continue to prioritize the rehabilitation of roads, to boost the nation’s economy.

In a remake, Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi who spoke through his Deputy, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi explained that good road network remained one of the keys to boost economy and attract investors to Ekiti.

He urged the Agency to always consider Ekiti in its scheme of works.

The Ekiti State Governor specially wants prompt attention of the Agency on roads such as Ado-Ikare, Ikere -Akure, Aramomoko_ Iwaraja and Efon to Ilesa, Osun state.
