High Court Building:Group Slams Fayemi For False Claim.
The Ekiti Grassroot Movement (EGM) has oppoosed the comments made by the incumbent Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi on Tuesday at the South West Security Summit held in Ibadan,Oyo State
In his statement in Ado Ekiti,the Spokesperson for the Coordinator of the group Olumide Akomolafe accused the State Government of claiming those glories of the Started and completed projects during the tenure of the former Governor of the State,Dr Ayodele Fayose
He said the development had further confirmed that the Governor who has been going in circles in the past 1 year, has no plans to bring any form of development to Ekiti Land
Governor. Fayemi who was quoted while addressing participants during the summit said “We have completed a new high court and reconstructed the State Council meeting which has not held in the past four years”
Com. Akomolafe slammed the Governor over such comments,describing it as faulty and urged the people to take it as one of those lies that politicians seeks to acquire interest
Akomolafe advised the incumbent Governor, Dr Fayemi to step up his game and stay focused on any of his defined agenda that brought him to office rather than claiming glory of the past administration.
He noted that Fayose during his administration built and completed the new High Court project and many more which Governor Fayemi has been claiming to be parts of his achievements.
Akomolafe known as Anelka advised Governor Fayemi and the APC government to tackle the challenge of insecurity confronting the state.
He said failure to address the security issue over the time are indications that insecurity challenges have become an internal problem caused by those who are allegedly benefiting from it.
He further applauded the former Governor of the state, Dr Fayose over his efforts to curb every acts of insecurity,especially farmer’s -herdsmen clashes.
However, when contacted by Roundoffnews some of the aides of governor Fayemi described the statement as irrelevant which does not deserve any reaction saying the group was only seeking relevance.
