It was an exciting moment in Ado Ekiti as the wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi presented cash gift and some other baby items to the mothers of multiple babies in the state.
Presenting the cash in Ado Ekiti, Erelu Fayemi said the step was to assist them in taking good care of themselves and their babies.
The wife of the governor stressed the need for women to always have a second thought before going into marriage.
She noted that such would guide them against falling into wrong hands thus becoming single mother thereby exposing their children to hardship and suffering.
In a remark, the commissioner for women affairs Chief Moji Fafure urged the beneficiaries to use the money for the purpose it was meant for
She added that the present government would continue to have the love of his people at heart.
Responding on behalf of other beneficiaries Mrs Victoria oriowo appreciated the wife the governor for the gift.
Similarly the Governor’s wife promised widows in the state more financial assistance that will make them to be self reliant.
She made the promised during a meeting with some widows in Ado Ekiti as part of activities marking this year’s international Widows Day.
The Governor’s wife said the present government would give priority to the affairs of widows in the state to ameliorate their sufferings.
Responding the Coordinator Widows Association in the state, Mrs Florence Fabusola thanked the Governor’s wife for her kind gesture.
