The Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Values Orientation, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua has extoled Dr Kayode Fayemi for given priority to human capital development.
Aare Olumilua spoke at Iloko Ijesa, where top government officials including Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Agencies and the wife of the Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi were
attending a 3-day retreat.
The programme with the theme; “Restoring Ekiti Values: From Promise to Reality” was designed to get all heads of MDAs to key into the development agenda of the present administration.
The Commissioner explained that the retreat was a perfect avenue to prepare Government cabinet for the huge task ahead.
He added that it was important for top officials of the State to be properly grounded in the five pillars of the Dr Kayode Fayemi led administration, so that everyone could work with synergy and help bring dividends of democracy to the good people of the State.
While urging participants to take advantage of the retreat, Aare Olumilua said Dr Kayode Fayemi has set the ball rolling with the retreat, adding that as heads of MDAs, they were mandated to achieve results in order to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Aare Olumilua however declared that Ekiti people and Nigeria should watch out, as the journey of rewriting the story of the State has begun.
According to him, preparations are on, and within a very short period of time, the State would become a tourism hub and the over dependence on the meagre federal allocation would become a thing of the past.
